Artist's Statement:
In all my work I try to scrape away the everyday and mundane and attempt to reach the essence of what it means to me to be human.
Deeper truths lay beneath the humdrum in our lives. Often intangible or only felt intuitively and more easily expressed by me through form, colour and shape.
Truth that is long lasting and fundemental to who we are. Expressions of love, freedom, pain and everything that makes us human.
It is only in expressing these things that I feel truly alive.
